Superintendent Search

The Board of Trustees of the Lake Tahoe Unified School District is in the process of conducting a Superintendent Search for purposes of hiring the District's next Superintendent.  The executive search firm, Leadership Associates, was selected to advise the Board in this important process.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

November 12, 2019:  Board of Education Meeting at 6:00 PM at the Education Center. The Board will identify various stakeholder groups for scheduling input sessions and announce the community input forum on November 19.

November 13 - 22, 2019:

November 18, 2019:
 Special Board Meeting at 5:00 PM at the Education Center, 1021 Al Tahoe Blvd., in which the Board will discuss:

* Characteristics desired in the new Superintendent
* District strengths and challenges
* Community / staff input process
* Board Protocols During Search
* Search Timeline
* Other matters the Board may wish to discuss

November 19, 2019: Community Input Sessions (by invitation) throughout the day.

November 19, 2019: Community Open Forum Input Sessions (English and Spanish) at South Tahoe High School Student Union. See PUBLIC NOTICE below. 

January 16, 5:00 PM: Deadline for applications.

February 3, 2019: Board meets with consultants, reviews all applications and selects finalists to be interviewed.

February 10, 2019: Board interviews finalists.

March 10, 2019: Board approves superintendent contract at a regularly scheduled board meeting.
